On April 6th 2006 my brother died suddenly in Oklahoma. Because of his age(44) and no noticeable cause for his death his body was sent to the medical examiners office for an autopsy to be done. After having waiting 4 months for the autopsy to come back we were distraught as to what was on the autopsy. Below I will list all the incorrect data listed on the autopsy:
1. Age is incorrect
2. Birth date is correct
3. Race is incorrect, states he BL but was white
4. States he was released from hospital after a fall from a horse 04/05, he was released 04/04
5. States Yes to beard and mustache, but he was clean shaven at the time
6. States he was circumcised, but he was not
7. States all ribs intact, but he was released from hospital 2 days before with 3 fractured ribs
8. States vertebrae intact, but he was released from hospital 2 days before with a fracture of the C6 and C7
9. There is no mention of the broken collar bone he had suffered 2 days before
10. Toxicology was totally incomplete and only femoral blood was tested.
As for the cause of death, the autopsy states this "probable fatal cardiac dysrythmia due to interventricular septal hypertrophy". He had no symptom of such a disease and had an EKG done two days previously which listed his heart as being healthy.
I believe that my brother was murdered but because of the total incompetence of the medical examiners office, and not to mention other authorities the crucial evidence needed in this case is lost. I do not even know if the autopsy performed was on my brother or mixed up with someone else.
I would really be interested if anyone else has had a similar experience with this Medical Examiners office.
